A complete Six Information Literacy Learning Modules Curriculum Development (SILLMCD), in the form of a text compiled by each partner’s specific contribution. It is noted that each partner, including the leading partner, will be in charge of the design and creation of their learning modules. These will be used for the creation of an integrated online, open access, asynchronous specific literacy course curriculum, for educators and librarians in their country and in the participant countries, Cyprus, Greece, Spain and Serbia.

Generic information literacy prototype for the VLE

The purpose of the pilot module will be to model/prototype a learning module for the Project’s ILTP according to the generic information literacy concept, that will help participants design their specific Literacies’ curricula. The curriculum design will take into consideration various learning theories and teaching approaches, which derive from these theories, in order to offer end-users, namely educators and librarians, a variety of quality educational approaches for the development of the different literacy skills, tailored to the needs of the communities that they serve.

The leading partner (CUT- Cyprus) has designed a pilot generic IL module curriculum template, based on the established Information Literacy Model design and creation of learning modules.
